Elyse is the founding Principal of Harbor Financial Group, Inc. Long before it was fashionable or the preferred form of advisory business, Elyse created advisory services to center around the client by bringing together other professional disciplines for a more effective, coordinated approach to problem solving. All of a client's needs, family, business and personal, are considered in developing the highly personal advisory for which the firm is well known. Her role includes client relationship management, strategic planning, and investment direction and selection for the firm. Elyse’s 30 years experience helps her integrate world events and individual goals and needs into investment and planning advisory with exceptional results.
Elyse studied Political Science and Economics at the University of Colorado earning a BA in Political Science. She entered the financial planning field shortly after graduation and earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Elyse was Vice President and Director of Operations with a large financial planning firm and also worked in investment banking and corporate accounting prior to forming Harbor Financial Group, Inc. in 1988.
Elyse's other interests include alpine and back country skiing, hiking, gardening, and photography. She is a member of the Board of Directors at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. She also enjoys travel, spending time with friends, husband Barrett and two adult children, Barrett, Jr. and Megan.
