Principal: Elyse Foster, CFP®
Elyse Foster is the founding principal of Harbor Financial Group, Inc. When creating Harbor, Elyse designed advisory services to center around the client by bringing together other professional disciplines for a more effective, coordinated approach to problem solving. All of a client's needs, family, business and personal, are considered in developing the highly personal advisory for which the firm is well known.
Her role includes client relationship management, strategic planning, and investment direction and selection for the firm. Elyse’s 30 years experience in financial markets helps her integrate world political and economic events into the investment and planning advisory.
Elyse studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Colorado, graduating in 1977 and has a background in accounting. She entered the financial planning field in 1982, earning her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1984. Elyse was Vice President and Director of Operations with a large financial planning firm and also worked in investment banking prior to forming Harbor Financial Group, Inc. in 1988.
Elyse's other interests include alpine and back country skiing, hiking, gardening, photography and serving on the board of The Golden West Foundation, which supports the vision and mission of Golden West Senior Living. Elyse also enjoys travel, spending time with friends, husband Barrett and two adult children, Barrett, Jr. and Megan.
